The Ten Step Plan! “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

The Ten Step Plan!

1. Admit that we have all failed:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”  Romans 3:23

2. Understand the penalty of our failure:

” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

3. Admit our failures to God:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  1st John 1:9

4. Realize that God loves us and gave us Jesus, God manifest in the flesh, to provide forgiveness:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

5. Realize that Jesus willing shed his blood and died on the cross in my place to pay for my sins:

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

6. Realize that in Jesus, we can escape judgement, have everlasting life, and experience a new life:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 (Jesus speaking)

7. Listen and respond, as Jesus calls to us:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20 (Jesus speaking)

8. Believe, receive, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior:

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12

9. Know that God’s promises are true and profitable:

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16

10. Take a few minutes to read the Bible daily:

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3
